AndroVideo Inc. joins collaborative Open Security and Safety Alliance contributing to a global standardized platform for security and safety solutions.

As an early member of the Open Security & Safety Alliance ('the Alliance') which is a non-profit, non-stock corporation that brings together like-minded organizations in order to outline specifications for a common standardized platform for security and safety solutions, AndroVideo is proud to work together with other Alliance members to create and promote standards, specifications and best practices for a common platform and ecosystem for security and safety solutions.

Background
The Alliance was formed in reaction to today's market characterized by the continued evolution of the Internet of Things and the aggregation of data. Security and safety solutions are fragmented due to the lack of a collaborative approach to common challenges including cyber security and common operating systems. This is holding back innovation and seamless integration.

Many market players are competing on technical topics that do not necessarily make a significant difference for customers. In order to add real value for customers the market needs a new direction, a framework that will enable the industry to focus on innovation and development of new applications.

New inventions often languish in the laboratory for years due to a lack of common standards. The Open Security & Safety Alliance brings together organizations that want to share best practices and contribute to a framework, providing standards and specifications for common components including an operating system, IoT infrastructure, collective approach for data security and privacy, and a drive for improved levels of performance. The Alliance members have access to the Alliance framework and the possibility to connect, discuss, influence and collaborate with other Alliance members to help shape a new direction for the industry.

AndroVideo Inc.,
AndroVideo Inc., founded in 2015 in Taiwan, plans to establish the next-generation camera platform that delivers value beyond security and business intelligence across network camera infrastructures. AndroVideo's new network camera will be based on the Alliance framework, providing standards and specifications for common components including an operating system, by early 2019. It will be one of the first cameras launched that is based on the commonly agreed approach of the Alliance members .

"After joining as an early member AndroVideo's development and manufacturing experience will substantially help to shape a new direction for the security and safety industry. Our new cameras based on the commonly agreed standards, specifications and eco system enable users to take full advantage of the potential of the Internet of Things such as Artificial Intelligence applications running at the edge of the camera." says Roger Tseng, Chairman and CEO, AndroVideo Inc.
